i totally can’t make up my mind…and because i’m decorating my own home it’s become a problem. as a designer i probably shouldn’t admit that i’m having problems decorating my own home, but from what i’ve gathered this is a common problem amongst a lot of designers.
this week i’m leaning more towards this…

eclectic style with colorful accents
of course next week it might be more that…
neutral color scheme with rustic and industrial elements
who knows how everything will really turn out! maybe it will be a mix of both.
I think lawyers have it right. I don't think designers should be their own clients. Fat chance of that though. But being a designer's designer...
ReplyDeleteI think of you with color around you :) I mean, look at the colors in your closet. I can see me living in the neutral world BUT I always choose to decorate with the deep jewel colors of rust, browns, mustards, and deep greens. Go figure :) Can't wait to see what you decide to go with!
ReplyDeleteI have the same problems. My house is a little schizophrenic!
ReplyDeleteGirrrrrrlllll.....you really spoke to me on that one!!! Sometimes I feel like I am a fish on the end of a dock flip flopping all over the place. As a designer it is so hard to make decisions for yourself because you see the trends come out every season. I am always afraid I might see something I like better :)
ReplyDeleteI so feel your pain- I find myself wanting "this" alot more though, the bright colors just make me happy!
ReplyDeleteI think Sherry has a point. You might be afraid you will go one direction and then decide you will like something better down the road. Designers have it tough because they know all of the possibilities while people who are not in the industry are unaware of all of the choices which makes the decision easier. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteOh good, we share the same decor fickle"ness"! :)
ReplyDeleterustic eclectic sounds great! yes, mix both :) you'll probably redecorate in a few years, anyway, so no decision is for life...
ReplyDeleteGave you another shout out today!!

So, what have you decided about the decorating dilema? {I don't think I spelled that correctly haha}
Whew, I'm not the only one...great images of your split personality. :)
ReplyDeleteI use to have a strong sense of decorating style "of my own in my own environment." But exposure to so many design blogs my mind is on overload, and it is mushy now.
ReplyDeleteIt's a tough one! I have found that what I like to look at vs. what I want to live in are quite different!
