i have been on an upholstered headboard kick lately. upholstered headboards can really give beds an extra plush look. the more decorative ones can also be a huge focal piece for a bedroom. especially when they look like some of these headboards…

i went looking on the internet for some budget friendly headboards and found quite a bit.
target had a very nice selection. this dwell studio headboard was one of my favorites and you can’t beat the price at just $299.
here are a few others that caught my eye at target.
this velvet beauty starts at only $329 for a full/queen. there are a lot of color options too.
if your having problems deciding on a fabric color then maybe the slipcovered headboard (Q- $179) is your perfect match. then for $89 you can change the cover to suit your mood.
during the spring months you might want to go with this fabric.
then in the fall months you might want to go with something a little warmer like this one.
if you like ikat how about this one. anyway, you get the idea…change it however you please.
jcpenney had this tufted headboard on sale starting at $289 for a twin. there were quite a few color selections too.
then, there’s one of my fave’s from west elm. starting at $379 it’s a little more pricey than the others i’ve listed. i just love the simplicity of it though. and the nailheads frame it out perfectly.
rounding out my list is ballard designs. they are on the upper side as far a pricing goes compared to the rest of the list but they have a quality product and some unique designs. they also offer a large fabric selection to choose from. this quatrefoil headboard starts at $449.
and this stevenson nailhead headboard starts at $339.
there are a million other options to choose from out there as far as upholstered headboards go. i figured you would have some fun searching for them on your own.
I have a friend looking for an upholstered headboard, I am going to tell her to check out your blog! Thanks for stopping by BH!

I really like the second one and plan on doing that one myself...what i really like about it is that she lists where she found her fabric, nailheads, batting, and foam!
